Homemade sweets are always good to ur health,coz our moms wud use the best ghee or oil and not the cheap ones wat the sweet shops wud use.And you know wat,I was ready to realx my diet when my momserved me with BEETROOT HALWA.
Its done by first mashing and frying the beetroot in a kadai.Then by adding ghee(lots of gheeeeeeeee) it is left to simmer.
Till the known consistency is acheived it is kept in simmer.Then add cardomon and nuts to taste.
Your very own beetroot halwa is ready.I wud post the recipe seperately later.But the actual post i wanted is to make it clear from now,the posts wud be short and sweet.
And as i was tasting the HALWA during this post,i am urged to add details abt it.
And even when this post is being edited,i recieved a sms stating that Mr.Ramalinga Raju,Chairman of Satyam Computers has submitted his resignation pertaining to fraudulent actions committed by him recently and in the near past.
So sad…but have no sympathy for that GREAT persona.But have sympathy for the share holders,other investors and its employees.And that includes the recently recruited engineers and other graduates.

January 7th, 2009motion control cameras - i’d like to own one….but for what??
December 2nd, 2008Have u ever heard of a motion control camera? Yes..perhaps if u ever sit and listen to the boring behind the scenes of a movie telecasted as a promo in TVs.
Well its a rig actually that holds the motion picture camera used to shoot films.The camera may be film or a digital camera.But that does’nt matter.
Its the rig that’s used.These rigs are mechanically manipulated using either onboard computers or external ones(in rare cases).
These mechanical manipulations from a computer helps the rig to move in any many directions possible by the rig to travel.
The calculated movements are transfered as signals from the electronics part of the rig.The axis levels,degrees of rotation,height of travel and distance the rig has to cover for a particular shot could be manipulated using the electronics.But why all these?
Have you seen shots where the same actor in different characters come in a single frame that cannot be captured real time.
In earlier days MASKING technique was used where the face portion alone is masked and the actor is asked to switch places for different shots.
But if you would notice they would have been static shots.NO MOVEMENTS would have been recorded.
Actors act in only static shots.But if the script requires the actors to move within the and there is a possible movement of camera MASKING procedure cannot be used.
Now the use of rigs is put in action.The rigs are fed with the signals pertaining to the camera-rig movement for the particular scene.The actor in his first character enacts his role in motion in the set provided.Then the same actor with his make-up on for his next role(possibly dual) comes to a blue screen studio and enacts his portion.
Now the rig makes its movements as it had done it for the previous scene,exactly the same degree of rotaion,panning & distance convered.Now the hardship is for the cinematographer and the VFX team working on the film.
The cinematographer has to mark the actors(both roles) places accurately so as to avoid collisions between two roles, and also the distance between the camera and the actor has to be precise along with the lighting effects.
The VFX team now composites both the scenes with the second being the foreground and first being the background or vice-versa.
Now you can have any number of roles for a single actor to enact and put them in a single scene.
Best examples of motion control camera operated scened would be the scenes invloving KAMAL HASSAN in DASAVATHARAM,in which the scene at the hospital involving 5 KAMAL HASSANS and ofcourse the MUKUNDA song involving a humongous CG and motion control effort.
And also the BEKHA song from the movie GHAJINI(hindi) starring AAMIR KHAN.
plutonium device on K2 - anybody there(2 care)?

That was the time when CHINA had started it’s hand on the nukes.So it was required for the US to keep an eye on them in the near future.
So they planned to plant a PLUTONIUM powered surveillance device to track CHINA’s nuke actions.

But the future weathers had made the device go invisible.
Yes,the next year when they came back to find it and put it back,it was lost.
Many such expeditions were made to recover that device.But none succeeded.But yo know wat?
These CIA people are more intelligent,they stubbornly planted a similar device on the adjoining peak NADA KOT,a year later.
But the recent expeditions to the adjoiing peaks,climbers found samples of plutonium smooched rocks.
This was an alarming situation.People say that,it mite becoz,it is beleived dat PLUTONIUM does exist as a mineral in the Himalayas.
But the truth is still out there.
If the plutonium device had got damaged and if the Plutonium mixed with the glaciers that flow in to Ganges,then its situation RED ALERT.
Coz Science sez that the half -life and other technical stuff of Plutonium are so strong,that they may exist for more than million and million years.
Who knows,there mite be a film made on this story.It wud become a box-office success.

December 1st, 2008Guess wat…?Steve has stated that he will continue as the CEO of the company during his recovery from sudden weight loss.
This had been a mystery, even to his doctors.It was found out to be a harmonal imbalance that occurs normally to people who care a lot and less about the two most important things of their life.
Their power and body.The body works differently for each of us.It is not advisable to get into a routine thats completely not your cup of tea.Perhaps your mind would tell you that “if he can do it…so can i”.
But please face the fact,if your hip size is restricted to 34 inches,and if u wanna reduce more,then you may need to crush your bones.
Well,it is a fact that you can’t be 30 inches down the waist if your bones would allow you to reduce the restrict the size to 34 inches only.
Dieting is becoming so normal nowadays among teenagers.Why is that so?Coz they get attracted to those sexy six packs of their idols.
Hmmmm,..are guys being attracted to guys…?No wonder why girls like ‘em.
Ok..coming to the point,six pack is something thats acheived in a year..by strenuous work out.And of-course dieting.
But guys,when people think of the later and forget the first foremost factor of exercising,then comes the problem.A lot of people
think that,it is essential to start the work outs with reduced body weight(fat)…and the way to reduce weight is DIET.Thats reasonable.But hellooooo…. if u wanna move to exercises aftermath,u need some stamina or energy or watever u call it to
complete that hectic workout schedule to get those SIX PACKS.But arent we forgetting something.We shud reduce the fat portion of our body,not by dieting…but by exercising.
Cycling…Jogging….walking… many more…small but powerful exercises provide you with the best results than wat you wud yeild from dieting.
And you know wat happened,when there was a statement realeased stating that Steve wud not attend the latest tecno conference on behalf of Apple,many investors got nervous…and it even resulted in their share spike bustings.
And after Steve confirmed that he is ready for the treatment to gain back his weight and will retain his CEO post,Apple shares took a 4% jump up.
Gaining weight is not bad at all…rite..?
Perhaps i shud have named this post… like..”Gain weight like Steve of Apple”…I don tell you that being huge and diet less food routine wud be helpful to ur health.But eat wat u wish but only at the time your stomach wishes.Never stuff it as you like.Sometimes tryin new food wud be helpful,but try them precautiously.
Run wherever you want….Walk some miles a day…Cycle down a few blocks.
But never forget…”What you eat is what you are”…..but eatin alone doesnt maketh you.It is wat you do to become whom you want to be.
Eat well.Exercise well.Enjoy a healthy life.

why should i VOTE..???
December 1st, 2008I saw an advertisement in the TV… a guy walkin with a tea cup…asking the people standin in a que to wake up,the people say…they are awake… but he sez..if u r awake..then u wud have cast ur vote.Nice ad,brilliant concept.
I applauded.
But why do still many people feel that their vote could be wasted rather than to vote and elect a government that doesnt care abt them.People nowadays vote for the least worst of the lot.
The political parties less criminal offences is voted the best party to run the Governemnt.
And they even have their own TV channels to boast their victory of winning over the people’s hearts(even before the elections).
Not just the State parties,even the central government elections are supported by the TV channels.
PErhaps a sting operation shud be conducted against these Channels these days.
Coming to the point,i have been casting my vote from the time i got my ID.I had never moved out of my belief that voting is every citizen’s duty.
But recent rains and the following incidents had affected me and my area a lot.I am very much angry over the corporation’s activities.Still the roads are not well laid.The drainage problems are the worst to be written about.
Many petitions had been given to the respective authorites.But the respective authorites are losing their respect gradually.I had never seen my frenz stayin in my locality talkin abt politics before.
Do we need to vote?That was our first deabte.Den we discussed wether to vote against this government?
The reason for this change was,we enjoyed this new voting system,we liked it as it was like we were given a supreme authority of electing the government,that we were the ones whom without the Government cud not be formed.
That was the kinda thinkin we have when we started to vote for the first time.But do we really need to vote.Even if we vote against this Government then again the oppositon party,if it takes ove the office,then again the government wud work in the same way… i mean ..wud not work in the same way.
Wat wud be a general solution?
There is no solution for certain problems,as they have their roots from the age of Periyar(in TAmli NAdu).Atleast the people of Tamil Nadu shud have been more responsible while votin out Kamarajar.
But then,even now their party wud have resulted the same way the other two main parties have come out with.
Hell with this State’s government…
And yes… i forgot to tell ya.. i have applied for TNPSC…group 1 exam….for the POst of Deputy Collector.

NEW STRAP
THE OLD STRAP BESIDE THE NEW ONE
My CASIO DATABANK TWINCEPT watch was presented to me by a friend of our family.2005 was the year.But he sed he bought it almost 6 months back.He was from KUwait.
I cudn’t imagine wen it wud have been manufactured.I think i changed the battery the day i got it.To give it a LocAL touch.
Then onwards,i never changed it till now.It had a brown leather strap with a cloth like material stitched to its top on both parts of the strap.It struck my mind
last year when i saw my strap loop getting detoriated due to heavy usage.I asked my father to change it for me.He cud find only a cheap option for that.That too worn out last month.
I loved this watch rite from the day i got it.It had a huge fan following among my frenz.
It has world time,phone number storing facility,stop watch,date,alarm and green back glow.I had never been in love with one of my posessions.
Last was my BSA SLR SPORT bicycle 1993 make.I had to sell it for a new one in the year 2002.It was a proud posession of my father for 9 years.
I never dreamt of such a watch before.All i knew was the old fashioned TITAN watch that i bought 3 r 4 years back before i got the CASIO one.
BUt once the strap worn out,nothin went on time.It was like doomsday for me.
Then finally i set out in pursuit of my watch strap.
My father asked me to check out with the local shop wher he used to give his watch for
repair.But i was reluctant to go there,as i believed that place is no worth for my precious.
He asked me to check out with P.ORR & ORR SONS in Adyar,Chennai.And i asked my frend in Adyar to enquire abt the location of the shop.But he said that that shop had been moved recently.
Then i decided to vist the Mylapore(i stayed there for almost 17 years…but now am in Velachery)showroom of P.ORR & ORR SONS.
When i reached there by METRO train, i was shocked to see a PUB/DISCOTHEQUE ad in Mylapore,Chennai.I tot it wud be an ad for some other PUB at nearby Adyar r somewher else.BUt i was speechless wen i noticed that it is located at the PICNIC PLAZA where the (that watch show room) P.ORR & ORR SONS is also present.
I went into the shop.I told them i need a strap.Then told me that they have an excellent brown TIMEX EXPEDITION strap for me.I looked at ‘em as i tot they were making fun of me.
I told ‘em i need only a CASIO strap.Then they revelaed the million dollar secret that,the starp is not into production currently.They even directed to me another dealer who repeated the same statement.
I returned to Velachery and stopped by the shop,which my father had mentioned earlier.I tot why not give it a go??.When i stepped in, i cud not move.There was a heavy crowd.I got my chance to tell my problem after 20 mins.I told him that i am desperate enough to get the strap.
He said that he has one.I became speechless again for the second time that day.All the travel,2 hours i had wasted.
Then he rolled out a leather towel,in which all leather straps were neatly arranged.
But to my luck,i found that the particular CASIO strap is unavailable.
Then he showed me a piece that really attracted me.It was a brown TIMEx strap.Costs somewher around 350 bucks.It was choclate brown.It had a unique stitching.Then i recognized the colour of my watch’s outer rim matched with the new strap.
I was overjoyed.I paid him.Wrapped the watch around my wrist.Walked out with pride.
Again.
Then i realized somethin that,this was the same kinda strap that the guy from P.ORR & ORR SONS,Mylapore had promised me.

Do computers err???
December 1st, 2008If computers are made to make calculations that are impossible by human brain,we forget that algorithm written to solve such a calculation is a child of human brain.
Why humans intelligent enough to make a computer of such high calibre,are not ready to accept that their brain is superior than any supercomputer.
The chess champion is ready to admit the defeat to a computer saying that,”that comp is a great player”,..dud…. hello….. its a computer designed to beat you by another human being jus like you.
Why do people still feel that any human could err but no computer can make mistakes.
They are ready to believe in results generated by a computer for an online test.
If the result implies that majority have passed,they say that their computer works good.
If the results are pretty bad,they speed up to the mic sayin that people these days are not concentrating enough to prepare for an exam.
Do they ever think of the possiblities of the computer going wrong somewhere.
It may work good with calculations that were normal to handle for the algorithms written wud be a normal one written by people who are in desperate enough to be lazy and want the computer to do their work.
But when the computer is programmed to perform calculations for a not so easy task,like generating online test result,mite have algorithms that wud have been an output of human probablities.
Well,the computer itself works on probablitites,but still aren’t we forgetting that people’s careers are at stake.
Shud the softwares written for evaluating online test results be written carefully so as to avoid any career loss.BUt none can help it.If they really tot of re-writtig them,they wud have.
For the probablitites with which they wud have written cud be r may be repeated,because people are reluctant to think beyond the line called,”computers cannot make mistakes”.
So are you sure that computers can make mistakes…??????Naaa….. i don think so…. coz..it does wat we say and wat we programme rite…???So people make mistakes..???
Probably yes..!!!!Then..if peole can make mistakes…and people can make computers…can computers make mistakes…?????

Engineers not recruited
December 1st, 2008Me and my frend were goin thru a website.It was a job portal.As we browsed thru several pages,we were able to get a basic information.ENGINEERS NOT RECRUITED.Why???
We were alarmed to see that.Then came some warming information on the following pages.Engineers recruited…but with 2 r 3 years experience.Oh thats great!!!!Why is that so?
Me a guy who is badly in need of a job after being asked to resign from a reputed Software Concern for not being successful at the evaluation exam to hit the floor.
But i completed the training.Which is damn useful to me one way r the other(but why they spent money on m and sent me out…puzzling..i wud’nt have done that if i had run a company).
And being a fresher,it was the first time for me to search a job.It was like,me being sent out of Earth in search of water.
BUt my frenz say its not jus now.This had been the case since i left for the (so called successful)training.
We talked abt it.And i was told that,it was because,engineers who are equipped(yeah!!!!…VERY MUCH) have the tendency to switch jobs and this makes the company inprofitable at times when the money spent on them goes wasted.
Its true.But the reason is that,once the engineers are recruiited it is also true that they lose their self-respect.
Many companies treat their employees so badly that they are looking out for better companies,rather than better opportunities.
But according to my prediction,it won take too much time for both the employers and the employees to understand the importance of self-respect and profit-to-core.
But i never expected the web pages posing the ad explicitly stating (!!!engg need not apply!!!)
Its still a shock.
Its normal for ma frenz…who r in to this job-searchin business for the past 7 months..
I get my energy from them.
And thanks to them again.I got the idea of this post from them.
American accent caters BPO jobs
December 1st, 2008Ok.. i am not offending the BPO sector.Coz i have been a part of it for 15 days.A small period of course but have learnt a lot.
I went thru a training for American accent.But Why the American accent???
Heard that we were catering the Americans business-wise.And while providing support for their business,we need to help them making them believe that they are actually gettin aid from a native American.
And we actually help’em as Mike and Richard and Kelly and Trixie.And u know wat.. not all support programmes that cater Americans need to be supported as Americans,there are a few processes which can be directly handled as an Indian.
But why is the Amercian accent being forced upon the new comers.And u know wat… after we hit the floors,we are required to speak in a neutral accent.Wats dis?
Some kinda psychological game they’ve got for us to be trained for the worst case scenarios.Perhaps true.But,I’ll tell ya….u know wat happens..?After they hit the floors,while they are asked to maintain a neutral accent,and this American accent peeps out from nowhere all of a sudden,and u know wat,disaster stikes and the guy r gal who actually handles the call,speaks to the American customer in an accent only understood by aliens.
Its a mixture of Texan,Indian,New Yorkian accent.
This,satisfies the American customer very much after they realize that their jobs are being shared by fellow Indians.
We like Americans.They like us.Both for the reason that we are ourselves.
But when one of these get their places mutated,then there comes the problem of heavy mis-understanding and other problems.
There are few people on either sides,still believing this whole thing sucks big and who actually create problem,the reason for which i had to post abt this.
But when you think on the whole, catering to the wide idea perspective,perhaps they may be true.
Some are stealing some jobs.But when someone think that some aren’t very efficient and at that times,some do need to share the job of some(few r many exactly).
And sometimes,what some think of some need not be correct.Rite?

December 1st, 2008when my frend asked me,”wats the name ur of blog gonna be?”i thought of naming it as–mstudio.process23.com–… u know y?
my frenz wud know… if they wud read this.It was because i wanted to start a independent film production company by that name.I had my own group of script writers, cameraman and producer(well thats me of course).
But things din go well as other ingredients din fall in place and i was not courageous enough to make some movesthat could have made my first film possible.
But NO REGRETS.We’ve still got time.And thats how it is.
Even thought of naming it THINKWIDE,coz i found it more suitable to my approach to my applied knowledge.
Many think i’m pessimistic for i keep on thinkin about,what wud happen if something goes wrong and wat cud be done to safegaurd mine as well as other’s butt.
People never understand that having a PLAN B or PLAN C is not being pessimistic.
ITs jus being optimistically cautious. All my life i play this game of trial and error.
I do something in which i fail.But FAILURE is again a result.Is’nt it?
U do something and expect something and u get out of it something else.
